4-D Polar Express Experience...

My Dad's favorite movie of all time is "The Polar Express". He's the hardest person to buy Christmas presents for, so when I heard about the Great Smokey Mountain Polar Express, I immediately knew what to get him.  I also have 2 children and knew that this would be especially enjoyable for them as well. I decided to purchase the tickets without anyone knowing. The night of our event, I made everyone, including my parents, all wear their/our pajamas. I drove them without any of them knowing, across the mountains of TN to Bryson City, NC. It wasn't until we were getting ready to board that I told everyone that we'd be taking a trip on THE POLAR EXPRESS.  Everyone was so excited - especially my dad.  They sang, danced, served hot chocolate and everything related to TPE. But the most special part was when Santa approached my dad and gave him a very special gift of an Authentic Sleigh Bell. (I arranged it with Santa prior to the greeting).  My dad was like a child all over again. It was so awesome. As much as my dad didn't want to go anywhere in his PJ's and fought to go someplace out in public --which he didn't know about ... I know he didn't regret it afterwards. This of course was the best Christmas present I could have ever gotten myself. The kids and my Mom, of course, were just as impressed. This was definitely a magical time.
